How to Edit Your Video After It’s Produced
How to Edit Your Video After It’s Produced
Updated over a week ago

StoryPrompt will automatically stitch your videos together, add in your branding and design elements, and produce your video testimonial for you. This is all produced automatically, however you are still able to make edits to your video, even once it's produced.

To do this, you need to edit your video. This will allow you to clone your existing video and make edits. You will not replace the settings of your original video as this serves as a cloned video.

Go to My Prompts and Videos and then under the preview, go to Edit.

You will then see a timeline of your videos and be able to edit your settings.

In this screenshot you can see how you can customize the following settings:

  • Design - This includes aspect ratio, transitions and filler words.

  • Music - This allows you to change the background music of your video.

  • Branding - Here you can change your title screen color, nameplate color, text color, font and logo.

  • B-roll - This is where you can add b-roll images or videos to be matched with text and/or your transcription.

To make any changes, simply click on the tabs and adjust your settings. Once you are satisfied, select Create video from elements to make a new video.

In this section you customize your videos using the settings above, but you can also reorder the videos in your timeline simply by dragging and dropping them.

The toolbar on the right of your timeline will also allow you to:

  • Move videos

  • Add backgrounds to your title screen

  • Trim the clip - This would allow you to trim the beginning and the end of the video.

  • Copy clips

  • Remove clips

  • Edit your title - This can be seen in the screenshot below. You can change your title and specify how long you want the title clip to play for.

Once you are satisfied, select Create video from elements to make a new video.

You can also add more videos to your timeline. You might want to do this if you decide to create one video with responses from multiple clients stitched together.

To do this, go to Select elements.

You will then be able to select one of your prompts. You will see four tabs: Responses, Prompts, Uploads and Title Screens.

  • Responses - This tab will show all the responses connected to your prompt. If you would like to add videos to your timeline, select a response and go to Add to video.

  • Prompts - This is where you will find the prompt you created.

  • Uploads - In this tab you can upload an MP4 video to be used in the video, for example as an intro or outro.

  • Title Screens - In this tab you can add any new title screens to your video.

Once you are satisfied, select Customize layout to add any other settings and Create video from elements to make a new video.
