When you begin creating a StoryPrompt, your first step is to create your first prompt, or question. But you might prefer to record a really personal video thanking the respondent for sending you a testimonial and explaining how the video needs to be recorded etc.
In this case, you can use your first prompt as a welcome video.
To do this go to Record your video.
Then click on the red circle to begin recording. Please see this article for the steps explaining how to record a video.
After recording your video, follow these steps:
Give your StoryPrompt a name - This is just to remind you which StoryPrompt you have created.
Write a short prompt - This is a short version of your prompt (or question) that will be used in your final video as a title screen.
Text overlay - This is some overlay text for the video, this lets the respondent know what the video is about.
Select call to action - Here you have two choices: Record your reply and Custom button. If you are creating this video to serve as a welcome video you will need to choose Custom button. Then toggle from the dropdown and select Next step. Afterwards you can decide what you want the button to say. In this example, I have made it say Let's get started.
TIP: In your video, I recommend you saying something like "When you're ready to begin, click on the button that says 'Let's get started' and you will be taken to your first question".
Maximum duration of responses - This allows you to add a time limit onto their responses. These range from 30 seconds to unlimited and differ per StoryPrompt plan.
Retake - This allows you to retake your video if required.
