Using StoryPrompt you have the ability to share your screen to request a testimonial. Respondents can also respond to your request by sharing their screen.
To get started with StoryPrompt, go to Build a new Prompt.
Then select Record your video.
When you record or reply to a StoryPrompt, instead of clicking the red button to record your video, select the button on the left to share your screen.
You can then choose whether you want to share a tab, a window or your entire screen.
Once you have chosen what you would like to share, you will see yourself in the left corner and an icon with arrows. By clicking on this icon, you can reposition yourself to any position in the screen or remove yourself altogether. You can also choose whether you'd like to spotlight your screen or yourself.
Once you are ready, you can begin recording your screen share by clicking on the red circle in the middle.
After capture, you can add settings to create your StoryPrompt.
Give your StoryPrompt a name - This is just to remind you which StoryPrompt you have created.
Write a short prompt - This is a short version of your prompt (or question) that will be used in your final video as a title screen.
Text overlay - This is some overlay text for the video, this lets the respondent know what the video is about.
Select call to action - Here you can choose between Record your reply and Custom button. Record your reply means allows your respondent to send you a video reply and custom button allows you to add a button onto the prompt, for eg to a calendar link. See custom links for more information.
Allow respondents to submit text replies - You can select this if you like. If selected, respondents will have the option whether to reply with text or video, or both.
Maximum duration of responses - This allows you to add a time limit onto their responses. These range from 30 seconds to unlimited and differ per StoryPrompt plan.
Retake - This allows you to retake your recording.
You can then configure your StoryPrompt and share the link. After sharing the link, the respondent can view your screen share as a StoryPrompt and then reply.
